Delete Your Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your House of Taxi account (operated by Royal Route Travel) and the personal data associated with it. You can request deletion at any time — you do not need to have the app installed.

In short: Email support@houseoftaxi.com from any email, including your registered name and registered mobile number. After we verify it's really you, we delete your account and personal data as described below.

How to request deletion

Option 1 — From inside the app

Open House of Taxi and go to Profile.
Tap Contact support and ask to delete your account, or email us using Option 2 below.

Option 2 — By email (no app needed)

Send an email to support@houseoftaxi.com.
Use the subject line: “Delete my House of Taxi account”.
Include your registered full name and registered mobile number so we can verify your identity.

We verify your identity before acting on the request (to make sure nobody else can delete your account) and then process the deletion. We aim to confirm within the timelines required under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What gets deleted

Your profile: name, phone number, driving licence number, city, vehicle model and registration number.
Your login credentials (your PIN is stored only as a secure hash and is removed).
Your identity documents: driving licence, Aadhaar, selfie and vehicle RC photos.
Your app activity going forward.

What may be retained, and for how long

To prevent fraud, resolve disputes between drivers, and meet legal obligations, a limited amount of data is kept for a short period after deletion, then removed:

Data	Retention after deletion
Account & profile data	Up to 1 year (fraud prevention / dispute resolution), unless a longer period is required by law
Identity documents (licence, Aadhaar, selfie, RC)	Deleted from active systems within 90 days, unless retention is required by law
Duty posts & claims	Historical records retained up to 1 year for accountability, then removed
Support emails	Up to 1 year from resolution

This mirrors the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal data, and deletion cannot be undone once completed.
